SHR-1905 is a humanized immunoglobulin G1 kappa monoclonal antibody that inhibits thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP) bioactivity. It is being developed primarily for the treatment of severe uncontrolled asthma and other respiratory diseases such as chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The drug works by targeting TSLP, a cytokine involved in initiating airway inflammation associated with asthma. SHR-1905 features an engineered Fc segment to increase its binding affinity for the neonatal Fc receptor, resulting in a prolonged serum half-life of approximately 70–85 days—significantly longer than similar agents like tezepelumab—which may allow for less frequent dosing. Clinical trials have shown it to be well-tolerated with mostly mild adverse events[1][2][4][5][6].
