SHR-1918 + lipid-lowering drugs is a combination therapy comprising SHR-1918, a human monoclonal antibody targeting angiopoietin-like protein 3 (ANGPTL3), and standard lipid-lowering agents (most commonly statins). SHR-1918 lowers serum low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and triglyceride levels by inhibiting ANGPTL3, a protein that regulates lipid metabolism by reducing the clearance of LDL-C and triglycerides. In clinical trials, SHR-1918 has demonstrated substantial efficacy in lowering LDL-C (22%–30%) and triglycerides (52%–63%) when added to background lipid-lowering drugs in patients with hypercholesterolemia and at risk for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. The combination aims to treat patients who do not achieve optimal lipid control with conventional lipid-lowering therapies alone. SHR-1918 is being developed by Beijing Suncadia Pharmaceuticals and Heng Rui Pharma, with principal clinical development in China. Administration is subcutaneous, and the combination demonstrates a favorable safety profile with mostly mild or moderate adverse events[1][2][3][5][6].
