Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SHR-2004 is a humanized monoclonal antibody that selectively binds to coagulation factor XI (FXI) and its activated form, factor XIa (FXIa). By inhibiting FXI/FXIa, SHR-2004 acts as an anticoagulant, aiming to prevent thromboembolic events such as venous thromboembolism (VTE) with minimal risk of bleeding. The drug is being developed primarily for the prevention of VTE in patients undergoing elective total knee arthroplasty and has also been studied in other indications such as arterial thrombosis, atrial fibrillation, and ovarian cancer. It is administered via subcutaneous or intravenous injection. Clinical studies have shown that SHR-2004 effectively reduces FXI activity and prolongs activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), demonstrating a dose-dependent anticoagulant effect with good tolerability[2][3][4][5].
