Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SHR-4658 is an investigational, first-in-class cardiac therapy being developed by Hengrui Pharma for the treatment of heart failure and related cardiovascular conditions. It is administered as a subcutaneous injection and is currently in early-phase clinical development to evaluate its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and immunogenicity in healthy volunteers and volunteers with elevated blood pressure.[1][3][4][5][7][9][11] Preclinical data reported by the sponsor indicate that SHR-4658 significantly improves cardiac function in animal models of heart failure and has a favorable safety profile, suggesting a novel mechanism of action targeting cardiac function, although the precise molecular target has not yet been publicly disclosed.[7][11]
