Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SHR2285 is an orally available, novel small molecule anticoagulant that acts as a selective and reversible inhibitor of coagulation factor XIa (FXIa). Developed independently by Jiangsu Hengrui Pharmaceutical and its affiliates, it is the first oral FXIa inhibitor developed in China. The drug has demonstrated potent inhibition of human FXIa activity and prolongation of activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) in both preclinical models and clinical studies. Clinical trials have shown that SHR2285 is well tolerated with no significant increase in bleeding risk. Its mechanism offers a promising approach for the prevention and treatment of thromboembolic disorders such as venous thrombosis and venous thromboembolism[1][2][3][4][6].
