Overview

SHRN3 is a novel, sustained-release formulation of levodopa being developed by Shivanka Research for the treatment of Parkinson's disease. The candidate is designed to provide stable plasma concentrations of levodopa, thereby reducing 'off' periods and minimizing the motor fluctuations (dyskinesia) often associated with standard immediate-release levodopa therapy. By optimizing the pharmacokinetic profile, SHRN3 aims to improve patient quality of life and reduce the frequency of daily dosing.
