Overview

shRNA-BPTF is a short hairpin RNA (shRNA) therapeutic candidate designed to silence the expression of the Bromodomain PHD finger transcription factor (BPTF). BPTF is a key component of the NURF (Nucleosome Remodeling Factor) complex and plays a significant role in chromatin remodeling. Research indicates that BPTF is overexpressed in melanoma and correlates with poor survival and resistance to BRAF inhibitors. By targeting BPTF mRNA for degradation via the RNA interference (RNAi) pathway, shRNA-BPTF aims to suppress tumor cell proliferation, reduce metastatic potential, and overcome drug resistance in BRAF-mutant melanomas.
