Overview

SHS009 is a bispecific antibody being developed by Nanjing Sanhome Pharmaceutical for the treatment of cancer. It simultaneously targets two key immune checkpoint pathways: the CD47-SIRPα (signal regulatory protein alpha) "don't eat me" signal and the PD-1/PD-L1 (programmed cell death protein 1/programmed death-ligand 1) "don't kill me" signal. By blocking CD47, the drug enhances macrophage-mediated phagocytosis of tumor cells, while blocking PD-1 restores T-cell mediated anti-tumor activity. This dual mechanism is designed to overcome immune evasion within the tumor microenvironment and provide a synergistic therapeutic effect. It is currently in preclinical development.
