Shu-Jin Wai-Xun decoction is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula used for external fumigation and steaming therapy. It is primarily developed and utilized by Longhua Hospital, affiliated with the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The decoction is designed to relax tendons and alleviate pain. In clinical trials, it has been evaluated for the treatment of residual low back pain in patients who have undergone percutaneous vertebroplasty (PVP) or percutaneous kyphoplasty (PKP) for vertebral compression fractures, often in combination with other TCM techniques like auricular pressure beans.
