Shuanghuanglian Inhalation Solution is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) candidate being developed by Beijing Yingkerei Pharmaceutical Technology for the treatment of respiratory infections. The formulation is a nebulized solution of the classic Shuanghuanglian formula, which is composed of extracts from *Lonicera japonica* (Japanese Honeysuckle), *Scutellaria baicalensis* (Baikal Skullcap), and *Forsythia suspensa* (Weeping Forsythia). This combination is traditionally used for its broad-spectrum antiviral, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties. By delivering the medication via inhalation, the treatment aims to achieve high local concentrations in the respiratory tract, potentially improving efficacy and safety for conditions such as acute bronchitis and upper respiratory tract infections.
