Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Shuangjin is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation developed and manufactured by Dalian Jinkai Technology Development Co., Ltd., primarily indicated for the treatment of herpes zoster (shingles). It is also utilized for inflammatory conditions of the respiratory tract, including acute tonsillitis and pharyngitis. The drug is a combination of extracts from *Lonicera japonica* (honeysuckle) and *Physalis alkekengi* (Chinese lantern), which are traditionally valued for their heat-clearing and detoxifying properties. Clinically, Shuangjin exhibits antiviral and anti-inflammatory activities, helping to inhibit viral replication and modulate the inflammatory response to alleviate pain and accelerate the healing of skin lesions. It is approved in China and is typically administered as an oral capsule.
