Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Shuangshen Yigan Dripping Pills is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by Heilongjiang Sunflower Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. specifically for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B. The preparation is primarily composed of extracts from *Salvia miltiorrhiza* (Danshen) and *Sophora flavescens* (Kushen). It is designed to clear heat, detoxify the liver, and promote blood circulation to resolve stasis. Pharmacologically, the drug works by reducing serum transaminase levels (ALT and AST), inhibiting the replication of hepatitis B virus (HBV) DNA, and exerting anti-fibrotic effects on liver tissue. The dripping pill dosage form is utilized to enhance the solubility and bioavailability of the herbal active ingredients, such as matrine and tanshinones, allowing for a more rapid therapeutic onset compared to traditional pill formats.
