Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Shuangshi Tonglin is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) botanical formulation, typically administered as capsules, used for the treatment of lower urinary tract conditions characterized by damp-heat symptoms. It is primarily indicated for chronic prostatitis, acute cystitis, and acute urethritis, which present with symptoms of lower urinary tract irritation such as frequency, urgency, and painful urination. The formulation was developed and studied by institutions including Dongzhimen Hospital of the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and is manufactured by Guizhou Liangji Pharmaceutical. Its mechanism involves anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties derived from its herbal components, which traditionally aim to clear heat and promote diuresis. It is an NMPA-approved Chinese patent medicine (Zhong Cheng Yao).
