Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Shuangteng Qinglin Pian is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) tablet developed by Guangzhou Ouhua Pharmaceutical Biotechnology. It is classified as a Class 1.1 innovative Chinese medicine in China, having received marketing approval from the NMPA in late 2021. The formulation is primarily indicated for the treatment of nongonococcal urethritis and cervicitis, specifically those caused by *Chlamydia trachomatis* and *Ureaplasma urealyticum* (associated with damp-heat downward infusion syndrome in TCM). The drug is composed of herbal extracts, including *Lonicera japonica* (Ren Dong Teng) and *Clematis armandii* (Chuan Mu Tong), which are traditionally used to clear heat, resolve dampness, and relieve strangury. Clinical studies have demonstrated its efficacy in reducing symptoms such as urinary frequency, urgency, and pain, while exhibiting a favorable safety profile.
