Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Shubutinib is an orally bioavailable, multi-target small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) developed by Jiangsu Chia Tai Tianqing Pharmaceutical. It primarily targets vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR-1, -2, and -3), platelet-derived growth factor receptors (PDGFR-alpha and -beta), and the mast/stem cell growth factor receptor (c-Kit). By inhibiting these receptor tyrosine kinases, shubutinib disrupts key signaling pathways involved in tumor angiogenesis and direct tumor cell proliferation. It has been investigated in Phase 1 clinical trials for the treatment of advanced malignant solid tumors in patients who have failed standard therapies. The compound is often described as a derivative or analog of sunitinib with optimized pharmacological properties.
