Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Shufeimin (azelastine hydrochloride and fluticasone propionate nasal spray) is a fixed-dose combination nasal spray developed by Changfeng Pharmaceutical for the treatment of moderate-to-severe allergic rhinitis. It combines azelastine hydrochloride, a histamine H1 receptor antagonist, and fluticasone propionate, a glucocorticoid receptor agonist, in a single intranasal formulation. This combination provides rapid and effective relief of both nasal and ocular symptoms by targeting both the early- and late-phase allergic responses. Shufeimin was approved in China in November 2022, representing the first nasal corticosteroid-antihistamine combination spray approved in the country, and was subsequently included in the National Reimbursement Drug List (NRDL) in 2023.
