Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Shufeng Zhike Mixture is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) liquid formulation developed by West China Hospital of Sichuan University. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of post-infectious cough (PIC), specifically for patients presenting with the TCM syndrome of "wind-pathogen lingering in the lung" (fengxie luan fei). The formulation is designed to dispel wind, ventilate the lung, and alleviate coughing symptoms. As a hospital-made preparation (院内制剂), it has undergone clinical evaluation in a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase 3 trial to establish its efficacy and safety profile in adult populations suffering from persistent cough following respiratory infections.
