Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Shugan Jianpi Plaster (疏肝健脾贴) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) topical formulation designed for acupoint application (external use). It is specifically formulated to address the TCM syndrome of liver qi stagnation and spleen deficiency. In clinical research, it has been evaluated as an adjuvant therapy combined with standard antiviral drugs (such as nucleos(t)ide analogues) for patients with chronic hepatitis B. The plaster is applied to specific acupuncture points to deliver herbal constituents transdermally, aiming to regulate liver function, strengthen the spleen, and alleviate clinical symptoms such as fatigue and abdominal distension. The formulation is primarily developed and studied by institutions such as the Infectious Disease Hospital of Shanghai Pudong District and Shanghai General Hospital.
