Overview
Shugan Jieyu Particles is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation primarily indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorder. It is composed of herbal ingredients, notably *Hypericum perforatum* (St. John's Wort) and *Acanthopanax senticosus* (Siberian Ginseng/Eleuthero). The drug is considered a pure herbal pharmaceutical product and a Chinese patent medicine. Its therapeutic effects are mediated through multiple mechanisms, including the modulation of neurotransmitter reuptake and monoamine oxidase activity, as well as influencing inflammatory pathways and neurotrophic factors.
