Overview
Shugan Ningxin Granules is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) 1.1 class innovative drug developed by the Institute of Chinese Materia Medica, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. It is formulated to treat mild to moderate generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), specifically targeting patients with the TCM syndrome pattern of liver depression transforming into fire (肝郁化火证). The drug works by soothing the liver, regulating qi, clearing heat, and calming the mind. It is currently being evaluated in a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase II clinical trial in China to assess its efficacy and safety.
