Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Shuganning injection is a traditional Chinese medicine injection widely used in China for the treatment of liver and gallbladder diseases, including acute and chronic viral hepatitis, drug-induced liver injury, and jaundice. It is formulated from the extracts of five traditional Chinese medicinal herbs: *Artemisia capillaris* (Yinchen), *Gardenia jasminoides* (Zhizi), *Isatis indigotica* (Banlangen), *Ganoderma lucidum* (Lingzhi), and baicalin (extracted from *Scutellaria baicalensis* / Huangqin). The injection exerts hepatoprotective, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-apoptotic effects, helping to reduce liver injury, promote bile secretion, and alleviate jaundice.
