Overview
Shuganyiyang Capsules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) product developed and marketed by Guizhou Yibai Pharmaceutical. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) associated with liver qi stagnation and kidney deficiency, according to TCM principles. The formulation is a complex mixture of herbal ingredients, including *Tribulus terrestris*, *Epimedium*, *Cuscuta chinensis*, and *Morinda officinalis*. Pharmacological studies suggest that the drug works by enhancing the nitric oxide (NO)/cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) signaling pathway, which promotes the relaxation of penile corpus cavernosum smooth muscle and improves blood flow. It is widely utilized in China as a standard therapeutic option for male sexual dysfunction and has been included in various clinical guidelines for the treatment of ED.
