Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Shujin Tongluo Granules is an oral Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formulation developed by China Shineway Pharmaceutical Group Limited. It is specifically approved in China for the treatment of cervical spondylosis, particularly cases characterized by liver and kidney yin deficiency with qi stagnation and blood stasis. The formulation is composed of nine herbal ingredients: Drynaria roosii (Gu Sui Bu), Achyranthes bidentata (Niu Xi), Ligusticum chuanxiong (Chuan Xiong), Gastrodia elata (Tian Ma), Astragalus mongholicus (Huang Qi), Clematis chinensis (Wei Ling Xian), Pheretima aspergillum (Di Long), Pueraria montana (Ge Gen), and Boswellia carterii (Ru Xiang). Its therapeutic functions focus on nourishing the liver and kidney and activating blood to relax muscles. Network pharmacology and molecular docking studies suggest that its mechanism of action involves anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and microcirculation-improving effects by modulating the PI3K-Akt signaling pathway and targeting proteins such as AKT1, IL-6, TNF, and VEGFA.
