Shutang granules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) product developed and manufactured by Hebei Zhongtang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Formulated according to TCM principles to address "Qi and Yin deficiency," a common clinical pattern in diabetic patients, the preparation consists of a blend of herbal extracts including *Astragalus membranaceus*, *Rehmannia glutinosa*, *Polygonatum sibiricum*, *Pueraria lobata*, *Morus alba* (mulberry leaf), *Salvia miltiorrhiza*, and *Dioscorea opposita* (yam). It is indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with "Xiao Ke" (wasting and thirsting disorder), such as excessive thirst, polyuria, fatigue, and weight loss. The granules are believed to work through a multi-target approach to help regulate blood glucose levels and improve metabolic function.
