Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Shuxinding sulfate is an investigational small molecule anti-arrhythmic agent developed by the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica (SIMM) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It is characterized as a multi-ion channel blocker that inhibits sodium, potassium, and calcium channels, thereby combining the pharmacological properties of Class I, III, and IV anti-arrhythmic drugs. The compound is primarily being developed for the treatment of ventricular arrhythmias, including frequent ventricular premature beats and non-sustained ventricular tachycardia. Clinical development has progressed to Phase 2 trials in China, where its safety and efficacy in stabilizing cardiac rhythm are being evaluated.
