Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Shuxinruina (HT-101) is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody targeting Growth Differentiation Factor 15 (GDF15), developed by Jiangsu Hetai Biotechnology and Jiangsu Guiqiong Pharmaceutical. GDF15 is a stress-induced cytokine that plays a pivotal role in the pathogenesis of cancer cachexia by signaling through the GDNF family receptor alpha-like (GFRAL) in the hindbrain to suppress appetite and promote muscle and fat wasting. By neutralizing circulating GDF15, Shuxinruina aims to alleviate anorexia and weight loss, thereby improving the quality of life and potentially the survival of patients with advanced solid tumors. The drug is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation in China for the treatment of cancer cachexia and advanced malignancies.
