Overview
Shuyansan Tablets is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) developed by the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences Institute of Chinese Materia Medica. It is specifically indicated for the treatment of acute pharyngitis characterized by lung-stomach excessive heat syndrome (肺胃实热证). The formulation is designed to clear heat, detoxify, and alleviate pharyngeal symptoms such as pain, swelling, and inflammation. It has been evaluated in a Phase II clinical trial (CTR20181394) in China, which was a randomized, double-blind, multi-dose, multicenter study assessing its efficacy and safety in patients with acute pharyngeal inflammation.
