Overview

si-circTFDP2 is a small interfering RNA (siRNA) designed to specifically target and silence the circular RNA circTFDP2. Research indicates that circTFDP2 is an exosome-derived circular RNA that promotes the progression of prostate cancer by protecting Poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase 1 (PARP1) from cleavage by caspase-3, thereby maintaining DNA repair capacity and cell survival in malignant cells. By knocking down circTFDP2, si-circTFDP2 facilitates PARP1 cleavage, increases DNA damage, and inhibits the growth and progression of prostate cancer cells. It is primarily used in preclinical research to investigate the role of circular RNAs in oncogenesis and as a potential therapeutic strategy for prostate cancer.
