Si Ni San + Xiao Chai Hu Tang is a combination of two classical Chinese herbal formulas (CHM) used in traditional medicine and recently reported as a maintenance therapy for breast cancer. Si Ni San (SNS) typically comprises *Bupleurum chinense*, *Paeonia lactiflora*, *Citrus aurantium*, and *Glycyrrhiza uralensis*, and is traditionally used to soothe the liver and regulate Qi, which may help manage psychological stress. Xiao Chai Hu Tang (XCT) consists of *Bupleurum chinense*, *Scutellaria baicalensis*, *Codonopsis pilosula*, *Glycyrrhiza uralensis*, *Pinellia ternata*, *Zingiber officinale*, and *Ziziphus jujuba*.
