Overview

siFANCL is a small interfering RNA (siRNA) designed to specifically silence the expression of the **FANCL** (Fanconi Anemia Complementarity Group L) gene. FANCL encodes an E3 ubiquitin ligase that is a core component of the Fanconi Anemia (FA) complex, which is essential for the repair of DNA interstrand cross-links. In the context of oncology, particularly hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), FANCL has been identified as a risk factor associated with poor prognosis and resistance to treatment. By knocking down FANCL, siFANCL inhibits the DNA damage response (DDR) pathway, potentially sensitizing cancer cells to DNA-damaging agents like platinum-based chemotherapy and anthracyclines, and modulating immunogenic cell death (ICD).
