siFi2 is a topical small interfering RNA (siRNA)-based therapeutic developed by MicroCures. It is designed to accelerate healing of excisional and traumatic wounds by silencing the activity of Fidgetin-Like 2 (FL2), a microtubule-associated protein involved in cell motility. By inhibiting FL2 through RNA interference, siFi2 temporarily enhances the migration of cells essential for tissue repair into areas of injury. Preclinical studies have shown that siFi2 accelerates wound closure and improves healing quality in animal models. The drug has been investigated for applications including burns, myocardial infarction, nerve injury, corneal injuries, spinal cord injuries, and general wound healing[1][3][4].
