Siglec-7xFSHR is a novel bispecific natural killer (NK) cell engager (NKE) designed for the treatment of ovarian cancer. It simultaneously targets the follicle-stimulating hormone receptor (FSHR), which is selectively expressed on ovarian cancer cells, and Siglec-7, an inhibitory receptor found on human NK cells. By binding to Siglec-7, the molecule is intended to engage and potentially activate NK cells against FSHR-positive tumor targets. Developed by researchers at The Wistar Institute, this immunotherapy has demonstrated potency in killing FSHR-positive ovarian serous and clear cell adenocarcinoma cells in both in vitro and in vivo models, including BRCA-mutated and PARP inhibitor-resistant lines.
