SIILPCV10

SIILPCV10 is a 10-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine developed to prevent infections caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae. It contains saccharides from the capsular antigens of ten serotypes (1, 5, 6A, 6B, 7F, 9V, 14, 19A, 19F and 23F), each individually conjugated to the non-toxic diphtheria CRM197 protein using CDAP chemistry. The vaccine is formulated with polysorbate-20 and aluminum phosphate as adjuvants. SIILPCV10 was designed for broad coverage against prevalent invasive pneumococcal disease-causing serotypes in Africa, Asia and Latin America at a lower cost than existing alternatives. Clinical trials have demonstrated that it elicits non-inferior antibody responses compared to other WHO-prequalified PCVs and has an acceptable safety profile similar to licensed comparators[1][3][4][5][7].
