Overview

Silarivivir potassium (YS-101) is an orally bioavailable small molecule inhibitor of the Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) NS5A protein. Developed by Changzhou Yinsheng Pharmaceutical, it is designed to disrupt the assembly and replication of the HCV genome. In clinical development, silarivivir potassium is primarily evaluated in combination with other direct-acting antivirals (DAAs), such as the NS3/4A protease inhibitor fobitavir (YS-103), for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus infection, particularly genotype 1b. The potassium salt formulation is used to improve the pharmacokinetic profile of the parent compound. Clinical trials in China have focused on its efficacy and safety in treatment-naïve, non-cirrhotic patients.
