Overview

Silcap Plus is a topical product containing approximately 4% dimeticone, formulated as a foam. It is developed by Oystershell NV for the treatment of head lice. Dimeticone, a silicone-based polymer, works by physically coating and suffocating the head lice, rather than through a chemical or neurotoxic mechanism. The product is applied to dry hair and typically removed after a short period by washing.
