Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Hy-Sil is a topical combination cream containing silver sulfadiazine (1% w/w) and sodium hyaluronate (0.2% w/w). Developed by Verisfield, it is indicated for the prevention and treatment of skin lesions, including wounds, varicose ulcers, and burns. Silver sulfadiazine acts as a broad-spectrum topical antimicrobial agent, preventing and treating bacterial infections in the wound bed. Sodium hyaluronate, a naturally occurring polysaccharide of the extracellular matrix, maintains a moist wound environment, promoting cellular migration, tissue regeneration, and re-epithelialization. Together, these components facilitate rapid wound healing while protecting against secondary bacterial contamination.
