Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SIM0310 is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) being developed by Simcere Pharmaceutical (Jiangsu Xiansheng Re Ming Pharmaceutical) for the treatment of solid tumors, specifically those expressing GDNF family receptor alpha 4 (GFRα4). GFRα4 is a cell surface receptor that serves as a co-receptor for the neurotrophic factor persephin and is notably overexpressed in certain malignancies, such as medullary thyroid cancer. The ADC is designed to bind specifically to GFRα4, triggering internalization of the complex and subsequent release of a cytotoxic payload within the cancer cell, thereby inducing cell death while sparing healthy tissues with low GFRα4 expression.
