Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SIM0505 is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) developed by Simcere Zaiming, a subsidiary of Simcere Pharmaceutical Group. It consists of an anti-CDH6 monoclonal antibody linked via a cleavable linker to proprietary camptothecin derivative toxin payloads. The drug targets CDH6 (cadherin-6), a membrane protein with low expression in normal tissues but high expression in various tumors, making it a promising target for cancer therapy. By combining tumor-specific targeting with a potent cytotoxic payload, SIM0505 aims to achieve selective tumor cell killing while reducing toxicity compared to traditional chemotherapies. The drug is currently being investigated in global multicenter Phase 1 clinical trials for advanced solid tumors, including ovarian and renal cancers.
