Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SIM0606 is an investigational antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) developed by Simcere Pharmaceutical Group (specifically its subsidiary Shandong Simcere Medgenn) that targets Cadherin-17 (CDH17). CDH17, also known as LI-cadherin, is a calcium-dependent cell adhesion molecule that is highly expressed in the gastrointestinal tract and significantly overexpressed in various gastrointestinal malignancies, including colorectal, gastric, and pancreatic cancers. The ADC is designed to bind specifically to CDH17 on the surface of tumor cells, leading to the internalization of the complex and the subsequent release of a cytotoxic payload to induce cell death. SIM0606 is currently in early-stage development for the treatment of advanced solid tumors of gastrointestinal origin, aiming to provide a targeted therapeutic option with reduced systemic toxicity compared to traditional chemotherapy.
