Overview

SIM0609 is a CDH17-targeted antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) being developed by Simcere Pharmaceutical for the treatment of gastrointestinal cancers and other solid tumors. It targets Cadherin-17 (CDH17), a cell adhesion protein that is highly and specifically expressed in the gastrointestinal tract and overexpressed in cancers such as colorectal, gastric, and pancreatic carcinomas. The ADC is designed to bind to CDH17 on the surface of cancer cells, undergo internalization, and release a potent cytotoxic payload to induce cell death. SIM0609 is currently in Phase 1 clinical development, evaluating its safety, pharmacokinetics, and preliminary efficacy in patients with locally advanced or metastatic solid tumors.
