Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SIM0682 is an investigational antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) targeting Cadherin-6 (CDH6), developed by Simcere Zaiming, the oncology-focused subsidiary of Simcere Pharmaceutical. CDH6 is a cell-surface glycoprotein involved in cell-cell adhesion that is frequently overexpressed in various solid tumors, most notably ovarian cancer and renal cell carcinoma, while maintaining low expression in healthy tissues. SIM0682 is engineered to specifically recognize and bind to CDH6 on the surface of cancer cells, triggering internalization of the complex and the subsequent intracellular release of a cytotoxic payload. This mechanism is intended to deliver potent anti-tumor activity directly to the malignant site while minimizing systemic toxicity. The drug is currently in early-stage development for the treatment of CDH6-positive advanced solid tumors.
