Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SIM0715 is an investigational proteolysis-targeting chimera (PROTAC) developed by Simcere Pharmaceutical (Jiangsu Xiansheng) for the treatment of autoimmune disorders. It is designed to specifically target and induce the proteasomal degradation of Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription 6 (STAT6). STAT6 is a critical transcription factor in the IL-4 and IL-13 signaling pathways, which are primary drivers of Type 2 (Th2) immune responses. By degrading STAT6 rather than simply inhibiting its activity, SIM0715 aims to provide a more potent and durable suppression of inflammatory signaling, offering a potential therapeutic approach for conditions such as atopic dermatitis, asthma, and other Th2-mediated autoimmune diseases.
