Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SIM0876 is a next-generation antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) targeting Trophoblast cell-surface antigen 2 (TROP2), developed by Simcere Zaiming (the oncology-focused subsidiary of Simcere Pharmaceutical). TROP2 is a transmembrane glycoprotein highly expressed in various epithelial tumors, including breast, lung, gastric, and colorectal cancers, where it promotes tumor cell proliferation and metastasis. SIM0876 is designed to selectively deliver a potent cytotoxic payload to TROP2-expressing cancer cells, thereby inducing apoptosis while minimizing systemic toxicity. It is positioned as an optimized follow-on to Simcere's earlier TROP2 ADC candidate, SIM0226, potentially featuring improved linker-payload stability or a different cytotoxic mechanism. The drug is currently in the preclinical or IND-enabling stage of development for the treatment of advanced solid tumors.
