Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SIM0960 is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) targeting Cadherin-6 (CDH6), developed by Simcere Pharmaceutical (specifically through its subsidiary Shandong Simcere Medgenn). CDH6, also known as K-cadherin, is a type II classical cadherin that is frequently overexpressed in various solid tumors, including ovarian cancer and renal cell carcinoma, while maintaining low expression in normal adult tissues. As an ADC, SIM0960 is designed to utilize a monoclonal antibody to selectively bind to CDH6-expressing tumor cells, followed by internalization and the intracellular release of a potent cytotoxic payload to induce targeted cell death. The drug is currently in the early stages of development for the treatment of advanced malignancies.
