Overview

Simbrinza is a fixed-dose combination ophthalmic suspension developed by Alcon for the reduction of elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in adult patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. It combines brinzolamide, a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor, and brimonidine tartrate, an alpha-2 adrenergic receptor agonist. It is notable as the first fixed-dose combination therapy for glaucoma without a beta-blocker.
