Overview

Simepdekinra is a small molecule drug that acts as an inhibitor of interleukin-17 (IL-17), a pro-inflammatory cytokine involved in the pathogenesis of several autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. It was initially developed by DICE Therapeutics. The drug is currently in Phase 2 clinical trials for the treatment of plaque psoriasis and has also been investigated preclinically for sarcopenia. Its mechanism of action involves inhibiting IL-17 signaling, thereby reducing inflammation associated with conditions like psoriasis[1][2].
