siMT-2A_2 is a chemically synthesized small interfering RNA (siRNA) duplex designed to target and silence the expression of the metallothionein-2A (MT-2A) isoform. Developed by researchers at the National University of Singapore, it has been studied in preclinical breast cancer models (such as MCF-7 cells) to evaluate the effects of MT-2A knockdown on cell viability, chemotherapy sensitivity (e.g., to doxorubicin), and downstream gene expression, particularly interferon-inducible pathways.
