Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Sinarest LP New is an approved oral combination small-molecule tablet manufactured by Centaur Pharmaceuticals. It contains three active ingredients: levocetirizine (2.5 mg), phenylephrine (10 mg), and paracetamol (500 mg). Levocetirizine is a non-sedating, third-generation antihistamine that selectively blocks histamine H1 receptors, relieving symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, and watery eyes. Phenylephrine is an alpha-1 adrenergic receptor agonist that acts as a nasal decongestant by causing vasoconstriction of blood vessels in the nasal passages. Paracetamol (acetaminophen) is an analgesic and antipyretic that reduces pain and fever, likely by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system. Sinarest LP New is indicated for the symptomatic relief of the common cold, allergic rhinitis, and rhinosinusitis.
