Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Sinarest Vapocap is an approved, over-the-counter inhalant decongestant capsule developed and marketed by Centaur Pharmaceuticals. It is a multi-ingredient, small molecule formulation containing camphor, chlorothymol, eucalyptol (eucalyptus oil), menthol, and terpineol. Delivered via steam inhalation or by applying the capsule contents to a cloth or pillow, it is indicated for the relief of nasal congestion, common cold, allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, pharyngitis, and upper respiratory tract congestion. The active ingredients release soothing aromatic vapors that help clear nasal passages, thin mucus, and ease breathing. Menthol and eucalyptol provide a cooling sensation by activating cold-sensitive receptors, while camphor acts as a mild analgesic and rubefacient, and chlorothymol and terpineol provide antiseptic and anti-infective properties.
