Drug intelligence / Profile preview
"Single oral dose of selected medicines, respectively" is a non-specific clinical trial intervention placeholder used in a Phase 1 pilot study (NCT06710600) sponsored by the Medical University of Vienna. The study, titled "Phototox: Photosensitizing Potential of Common Medicines," was designed to systematically and quantitatively assess the photosensitizing potential of ten commonly prescribed oral medications with varying degrees of phototoxic potential in healthy volunteers. These ten medications include amiodarone, aspirin, diclofenac, doxycycline, enalapril, furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide, pantoprazole, verapamil, and voriconazole. The trial utilized a novel radiation and measurement protocol to evaluate phototoxic and photoallergic drug-induced skin reactions.
